The SGMC (Société le Grand Moulin du Cameroun) has undersigned with OCRIM a contract for the technological modernization of its plant, located in the capital Douala. The project foresees the extension of the capacity of the existing mill, still of OCRIM supply, passing from a capacity of 280 Ton to 400 Ton of soft wheat milled in 24 hrs. Such project also foresees the realisation of the new cleaning line and the increase of stocking capacity of the wheat silo, necessary to support the extension of the milling plant.

On June 15th. Ocrim group has signed with Dr. Balghonaim, Minister of Agriculture and President of G.S.F.M.O. (Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization), a contract for the supply, on turn-key basis, of a feed mill that will be constructed in Khamis Mushayt, in the South of Saudi Arabia.

To further prove the well established relationship between G.S.F.M.O. (goverment authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and OCRIM, on July 26, 2009 the two companies have signed a contract to expand the Damman Plant to a capacity of 900 Tons /24 hours divided in two lines (450+450). In this plant Ocrim will install the most advanced equipment available in milling technology.
Ocrim’s presence in the Kingdom dates back to 1975 and recently has successfully commissioned two plants of 600 Tons/24 hours each and an 80.000 tons wheat silo which works are still in progress.
Ocrim’s presence extends to other countries in the Middle East with smaller capacity plants but with particular requests specifically requested by the Client, such as the 50 Tons /24 Hours flour mill designed to produce special flour. The constant acquisition of important project in the Region is a confirmation of the trust and the excellent technological and organizational results that Ocrim guarantees to its Customers.

Mr. Al Walid Bin Abdul Karim Khereiji (General Manager of G.S.F.M.O.) and Mr. Claudio Pinassi (C.E.O. of Ocrim S.p.A.) during the signature of the Contract.

The constant increase of raw material costs and the necessity to enhance the respect of environmental conditions, have stimulated companies to improve the recovery system of industrial wastes and to further encourage a differentiated waste disposal.

All of this lead to the development of a market, with promising expectations, which proposes means aimed at energy savings and a consequent reduction of production costs. This will result, besides a better protection of our planet, in a reduction of environmental contamination.

Ocrim has always been very sensitive on both ethical and environmental issues and, exploiting its leading position in the field of cereal cleaning and selection, has developed a series of techniques and technologies which improve the selection of materials discarded from the so called “reducers”, that, once implemented in the contest of plants operating in the field of waste recycling, have given excellent results.

Machines produced by Ocrim guarantee and optimal selection of products with a high reliability degree thanks also to decades of experience matured in the grain processing industry which is widely known that machines in this specific sector are designed to operate continuously, 24 hour a day for 365 days a year.

Recently, it has concluded the school year for Ocrim Milling Technological School, that has trained with excellent results students from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Italy, United States, North Africa and South America.
For the next year we have already received plenty requests for participation to the courses, expecially three groups of students coming from Saudi Arabia that will attend an English language course and a milling technology course for one year duration; during this period the students will be supported by structures and personnel managed by Ocrim.
For 2010 we announce important training news, among them there will be dedicated courses to be developed directly on customers’ site, so as to enable the students to verify directly the learned notions; innovative topics such as energy saving, safety and short courses on breadmaking.
